DTF Printer:What's DTF printer

Direct to film printer is the origin of DTF, which directly prints design patterns onto PET film, then evenly spreads hot melt powder on the pattern, melts at high temperature and dries it, and finally cuts the PET film. The pattern is hot pressed and attached to various types of clothing through a hot press machine, completing the entire clothing printing process.

Why should we focus on introducing this clothing printing method? This clothing printing method has been continuously occupying the market share of clothing printing since 2021 and has become one of the mainstream clothing printing methods at present. According to search trends provided by Google Trends, DTFPrinter search volume has been consistently increasing since 2021. A large part of the popularity of DTF printers lies in their unique advantages: convenient printing method, shorter preparation cycle, fast printing speed, high production efficiency, and reliable output quality. Whether it's the demand for bulk printing during peak season or the urgent need for customized clothing for individual customers during off-season, it can be easily completed

The advantages of DTF printers: Compared with DTG printing, DTF printing does not require the spraying of pre-treatment solution and eliminates the pre-treatment process. Compared to screen printing, printing does not require many complex steps such as plate making and film production. DTF printing only requires the use of drawing software to design the image in the early stage, and then correctly operate the machine according to the technical guidance video to complete the steps of printing, powder spreading, drying, and pressing.

DTF printing can achieve resistance to washing and scratching. The color fastness to washing reaches 4-5 levels. If it is a summer T-shirt, it can be worn for two years by washing it three times a week.

Compared to DTG printing and sublimation printing, DTF printing not only breaks through the limitations of the first two printing methods, but also has a wide range of applications, such as being used on fabrics such as pure cotton, polyester fiber, wool, nylon, Lycra, cotton linen, denim, silk, etc. It can be said that DTF printers are the "universal printing machines" in the clothing industry.
