DTF printer:Why does DTF printer have printhead blockage and how to solve it
一、Why do printhead blockages occur?
The phenomenon of printhead blockage is usually caused by various factors, the most common of which are ink drying, impurity precipitation, and static electricity generated during the printing process.
When the printhead is idle for a long time, the ink moisture inside the print head will gradually disappear, leaving solid impurities. Over time, when the volume of impurities accumulated inside the nozzle exceeds that of the nozzle, it will cause the printhead to become clogged.
In addition, the DTF white ink hot stamping machine generates static electricity during operation, adsorbing surrounding dust and small particles. These attracted impurities will eventually adhere to the printhead, causing printhead blockage and affecting print quality.
二.How to prevent nozzle blockage?
1. Use High-quality ink cartridges
Using high-quality ink cartridges and following the manufacturer's installation instructions correctly can effectively reduce the possibility of printhead clogging.
2. Use high-quality DTF specific ink
Poor quality ink poses a risk of printhead clogging and poor printing results. It is recommended to use high-quality DTF specific ink. Due to different ink configurations and raw materials, do not mix inks!
3. Properly maintain the printhead
Failure to clean the print head or replace the ink cartridge in a timely manner can cause dry ink debris to accumulate in the nozzle, leading to nozzle blockage. It is recommended that you clean the print head once a week using white ink hot stamping machine specific cleaning solution or distilled water, and follow the machine maintenance manual for cleaning operations.
4. Regular startup printing
Things are not afraid of use, they are afraid of storage, and the same goes for DTF white ink hot stamping printers. Maintaining an appropriate frequency of printing usage and keeping the ink in the machine moist can prevent nozzle clogging caused by long-term inactivity.
5. Regular evaluation
There are many reasons for ink breakage in DTF white ink hot stamping printers, such as dirty ink bags or aging nozzles. We suggest that you regularly evaluate the printing status of the machine, such as conducting monthly inspections and maintenance on easily damaged parts such as ink bags and tubes (see attached replacement cycle table for easily damaged parts). If necessary, you can use a syringe to press air to clear impurities in the ink tubes, and replace parts with no repair value in a timely manner.
6. Ensure a good working environment
Place the printer in a well ventilated area and avoid direct sunlight. After printing, close the printer cover to prevent dust from disturbing the ink cartridges and nozzle area. The working environment temperature of the printer should be 25-30 ℃; humidity should be 40% -60%
Understanding the causes of printhead blockage, mastering the correct cleaning methods and effective preventive measures are crucial for maintaining the good working condition of DTF white ink hot stamping printers.
