What is the difference between indoor and outdoor photo printers?

The products printed by indoor photo printers cannot withstand the wind and sun, and they fade easily, so they are suitable for indoor use. However, the pictures printed by indoor photo printers are detailed and clear, with high color saturation, so the pictures in our common activities, booths, and exhibition halls are all printed by indoor printers. The products printed by outdoor photo printers can withstand wind and rain outdoors, and will not fade, and are often used outdoors.

The difference between indoor photo and outdoor photo: ink

The nozzle structure of outdoor photo printers and indoor photo printers is different, so the inks suitable for the two are also different.

The ink used by indoor photo printers is water-based ink, so it is not waterproof. The consumables are also not waterproof coating, so they will melt when exposed to water. The ink used by outdoor photo printers is oil-based ink, which is waterproof. Since outdoor inkjet printing images are hung outdoors for a long time, ultraviolet rays, acid and alkali, sand and dust, and air pollution will affect the images. Therefore, when choosing ink, try to choose products with a sun resistance of level 7 (the highest level is level 8, due to color reasons, some colors in the world can only reach level 7 at most) and weather resistance of level 5 (the highest level is level 5).

The difference between indoor photo printing and outdoor photo printing: materials

The printing materials of indoor photo printing machines are not waterproof coatings, so they melt when exposed to water. The printing materials of outdoor photo printing machines are weak solvent materials that are waterproof. It should be noted that outdoor photo printing machines cannot print water-based materials. If outdoor photo printing machines are used to print water-based materials, there will be color differences and even coating shedding due to the mismatch of coatings.

For indoor photo printing machines, not only are the application scenarios, nozzles, and consumables different, but they cannot be mixed. When using them, advertisers must distinguish them clearly!
