Scope of application
• Compatibility of different ink models
• Water-based ink: For example, some Epson nozzles are suitable for water-based piezoelectric photo machines, which are commonly used in indoor photo printing in the advertising and graphic industries, and can achieve high-quality color image output on ordinary indoor materials such as paper and PP adhesive.
• Solvent-based ink: Some Epson nozzles can use solvent inks, which are suitable for printing on advertising materials used in outdoor environments, such as outdoor light box cloth, car body stickers, etc., with good weather resistance and UV resistance.
• UV ink: Some specific Epson nozzles can be adapted to UV inks for printing on various hard materials such as glass, metal, wood, plastic, etc., with fast curing speed, can be printed and dried immediately, and the printed pattern has high hardness and wear resistance.
• Sublimation ink: It can be used in thermal transfer process, the pattern is first printed on thermal transfer paper, and then the pattern is transferred to textiles, ceramics and other materials by heat pressing and other methods.
• Print media adaptability
• Flat materials: It is widely used in flat materials such as paper (including ordinary printing paper, photo paper, coated paper, etc.), plastic films (such as PVC film, PET film), fabrics (such as cotton fabrics, silk, etc., mainly used for textile printing).
• Three-dimensional materials: For some three-dimensional objects with relatively flat surfaces, such as small handicrafts, mobile phone cases, etc., after proper fixation and positioning, Epson nozzles can also be used for printing, but the structure and operation requirements of the printing equipment are relatively high.
Precautions
• Environmental factors
• Temperature control: The working environment temperature should be maintained at 15℃ - 30℃. If the temperature is too high, the fluidity of the ink will change, which may cause uneven inkjet from the nozzle or even nozzle blockage; if the temperature is too low, the viscosity of the ink will increase, affecting the ink jetting effect and reducing the printing quality.
• Humidity control: The ambient humidity should be maintained at 35% - 65%. If the humidity is too high, the water vapor in the air will easily enter the ink, affecting the performance of the ink and may also cause the circuit board to be damaged by moisture; if the humidity is too low, static electricity will easily be generated, causing damage to the electronic components of the nozzle and the device.
• Dust protection: Keep the printing environment clean and minimize dust. Dust may adhere to the surface of the nozzle, block the nozzle, or enter the inside of the device, affecting the normal operation of the device.
• Ink use
• Ink compatibility: You must use ink that matches the nozzle model. It is strictly forbidden to mix inks of different brands and types. Different inks have different chemical compositions. After mixing, chemical reactions may occur, resulting in precipitation or crystallization, blocking the nozzle and damaging the nozzle and the device.
• Ink quality: Choose original ink with reliable quality or certified high-quality compatible ink. Inferior ink may contain impurities, easily block the nozzle, and its color performance and stability are also poor, which will affect the printing effect and quality.
• Ink storage: Ink should be sealed and stored away from direct sunlight and high temperature environment. If exposed to air for a long time or stored in an inappropriate environment, the performance of the ink will decline or even deteriorate.
• Equipment operation
• Power on and off sequence: Strictly follow the prescribed procedures to turn on and off the machine. When turning on the machine, turn on the power switch of the device first, wait for the device to be preheated and initialized, and then turn on the power of the nozzle; when shutting down, turn off the power of the nozzle first, and then turn off the main power switch of the device to ensure that the carriage returns to its position normally, and ensure that the nozzle and the ink stack are completely close to avoid clogging the nozzle.
• Printing frequency: If the device is not used for a long time, the ink in the nozzle is easy to dry up and cause clogging. Therefore, even if there is no printing task, you should turn on the machine regularly to print some test patterns to keep the nozzle in inkjet state.
• Nozzle cleaning: Clean and maintain the nozzle regularly, but the cleaning frequency should not be too high. Excessive cleaning may cause wear to the nozzle. When cleaning, use special cleaning fluid and tools, and operate in the correct way to avoid damaging the nozzle.
• Circuits and interfaces
• Avoid plugging and unplugging with power on: It is strictly forbidden to plug and unplug the data cable, power cable and other interfaces of the nozzle when the device is powered on, so as to avoid circuit damage, nozzle burning and other faults.
• Static Electricity Protection: The equipment should be well grounded to prevent static electricity accumulation. Static electricity may interfere with the normal operation of the printhead and even damage the electronic components of the printhead and the equipment.
