Will insufficient UV lamp power lead to serious ink curing?
Insufficient UV lamp power is one of the reasons for poor UV ink drying failure, which is related to the daily production operation of the enterprise, mainly manifested in the following aspects:
1. Not paying attention to the surface cleaning of the UV lamp, the reflector of the UV lamp is too dirty after long-term use, resulting in the loss of reflection energy of the UV lamp (reflection energy can account for about 50% of the power of the UV lamp).
2. All UV lamps have an effective service life (generally 800 to 1000 hours). When the use time of the UV lamp exceeds its service life, although the UV lamp can continue to work, its power has been greatly reduced.
3. The power configuration of the UV lamp is unreasonable. For example, the reasonable configuration of the power of each group of UV lamps in the domestic full-rotary self-adhesive label printing machine is basically above 3000 watts. Due to its fast printing speed, the power of each group of UV lamps in foreign equipment is basically above 7000 watts, and the power of each group of UV lamps in some full-rotary self-adhesive label printing machines is only 2000 watts.
4. After replacing the UV lamp, the UV lamp usage timer was not reset to zero, resulting in the UV lamp usage time exceeding the service life without knowing it.
UV curing is a common term for UV printers, that is, the drying of UV ink is called curing. UV is the abbreviation of ultraviolet rays, so the UV curing process requires ultraviolet irradiation. When the UV lamp fails, there will inevitably be ink curing problems.
